We were asked to devise an over-arching campaign direction to house any media for the next 2 to 4 years. This means everything from video bookends to storefront window clings to swing tags. It all needed to feel cohesive while evolving across its lifespan. The graphic elements are handmade and play on the inherently commercial nature of streetwear as well as poking fun at the “Merchandise” aspect of the company name “Former Merchandise”. By featuring a receipt as the motif, we developed textures, image treatments, and custom typography, including a fully customised typeface family.

A surf and skate merchandise company run and owned by riders. Aiming to buck the trends and tiredness that often come with commercial streetwear, Former looks the other way, heavily focused on creating clothing, videos, and products that resonate with its founders.
